Translation of The Holy Quran

54. Al-Qamar (the Moon)

وَمَا أَمْرُنَا إِلَّا وَاحِدَةٌ كَلَمْحٍ بِالْبَصَرِO(50)

اور ہمارا حکم تو فقط یک بارگی واقع ہو جاتا ہے جیسے آنکھ کا جھپکنا ہےo

And Our Command comes into action once and for all as the twinkling of an eye.

وَلَقَدْ أَهْلَكْنَا أَشْيَاعَكُمْ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍO(51)

اور بیشک ہم نے تمہارے (بہت سے) گروہوں کو ہلاک کر ڈالا، سو کیا کوئی نصیحت حاصل کرنے والا ہےo

And surely We destroyed (many of) your groups. So is there anyone who will take advice?

وَكُلُّ شَيْءٍ فَعَلُوهُ فِي الزُّبُرِO(52)

اور جو کچھ (بھی) انہوں نے کیا اعمال ناموں میں (درج) ہےo

And whatever they did is (recorded) in (their) Books of Deeds.

وَكُلُّ صَغِيرٍ وَكَبِيرٍ مُسْتَطَرٌO(53)

اور ہر چھوٹا اور بڑا (عمل) لکھ دیا گیا ہےo

And every (action) small or big has been written.

إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَنَهَرٍO(54)

بیشک پرہیزگار جنتوں اور نہروں میں (لطف اندوز) ہوں گےo

Indeed the Godfearing will (rejoice) in gardens and streams,

فِي مَقْعَدِ صِدْقٍ عِندَ مَلِيكٍ مُّقْتَدِرٍO(55)

پاکیزہ مجالس میں (حقیقی) اقتدار کے مالک بادشاہ کی خاص قربت میں (بیٹھے) ہوں گےo

And will (be seated) in special nearness to the Sovereign Lord of (true) Power during holy sessions.
