Translation of The Holy Quran

87. Al-A’la (the Most High)

سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَىO(1)

اپنے رب کے نام کی تسبیح کریں جو سب سے بلند ہےo

Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High,

الَّذِي خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىO(2)

جس نے (کائنات کی ہر چیز کو) پیدا کیا پھر اسے (جملہ تقاضوں کی تکمیل کے ساتھ) درست توازن دیاo

He Who has created (everything in the Universe) and then (fulfilling all requisites) equipoised it to its exact proportion,

وَالَّذِي قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىO(3)

اور جس نے (ہر ہر چیز کے لئے) قانون مقرر کیا پھر (اسے اپنے اپنے نظام کے مطابق رہنے اور چلنے کا) راستہ بتایاo

And He Who has determined law, (phenomena for every creation) and guided it to its way (of sustaining and functioning according to its respective system),

وَالَّذِي أَخْرَجَ الْمَرْعَىO(4)

اور جس نے (زمین سے) چارہ نکالاo

And He Who has brought forth green pasture (from the earth),

فَجَعَلَهُ غُثَاءً أَحْوَىO(5)

پھر اسے سیاہی مائل خشک کردیاo

And then made it blackened stubble.

سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنسَىO(6)

(اے حبیبِ مکرّم!) ہم آپ کو خود (ایسا) پڑھائیں گے کہ آپ (کبھی) نہیں بھولیں گےo

(O Esteemed Beloved!) We shall teach you (in a way) that nothing shall you (ever) forget,

إِلَّا مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ إِنَّهُ يَعْلَمُ الْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَىO(7)

مگر جو اﷲ چاہے، بیشک وہ جہر اور خفی (یعنی ظاہر و پوشیدہ اور بلند و آہستہ) سب باتوں کو جانتا ہےo

Except what Allah wills. Indeed He knows all, manifest as well as hidden (i.e. open to human perception as well as veiled from it and the audible and inaudible both).

وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَىO(8)

اور ہم آپ کو اس آسان (شریعت پر عمل پیرا ہونے) کے لئے (بھی) سہولت فراہم فرمائیں گےo

We shall (also) facilitate you (to put into practice this) easy (Law).

فَذَكِّرْ إِن نَّفَعَتِ الذِّكْرَىO(9)

پس آپ نصیحت فرماتے رہیے بشرطیکہ نصیحت (سننے والوں کو) فائدہ دےo

So keep admonishing, provided admonition benefits (the listeners).

سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخْشَىO(10)

البتہ وہی نصیحت قبول کرے گا جو اﷲ سے ڈرتا ہوگاo

But only he who fears (Allah) will accept the admonition.
