Translation of The Holy Quran

106. Quraish (Quraish)

لِإِيلَافِ قُرَيْشٍO(1)

قریش کو رغبت دلانے کے سبب سےo

To awake drive among the Quraish,

إِيلَافِهِمْ رِحْلَةَ الشِّتَاءِ وَالصَّيْفِO(2)

انہیں سردیوں اور گرمیوں کے (تجارتی) سفر سے مانوس کر دیاo

They were acclimatized to the summer and winter (commercial) trips.

فَلْيَعْبُدُوا رَبَّ هَذَا الْبَيْتِO(3)

پس انہیں چاہئے کہ اس گھر (خانہ کعبہ) کے رب کی عبادت کریں (تاکہ اس کی شکر گزاری ہو)o

So they should worship the Lord of this (Sacred) House (Ka‘ba, to give Him thanks),

الَّذِي أَطْعَمَهُم مِّن جُوعٍ وَآمَنَهُم مِّنْ خَوْفٍO(4)

جس نے انہیں بھوک (یعنی فقر و فاقہ کے حالات) میں کھانا دیا (یعنی رِزق فراہم کیا) اور (دشمنوں کے) خوف سے امن بخشا (یعنی محفوظ و مامون زندگی سے نوازا)o

Who has fed them in hunger (i.e. provided them sustenance in starving conditions) and secured them from fear (of foes i.e. blessed them with secure and peaceful life).
